Hi, I'm Tammy
The person behind Rising Phoenix — ready to help you get organized, get set up, and move forward.

You're the owner, the manager, the salesperson, the customer service rep — and sometimes the janitor. You wear every hat. And somewhere in the middle of all of that, the financial side of your business quietly becomes the thing you never quite get to.
Not because you don't care. Because there are only so many hours in a day, and you're already using all of them.
Or maybe you're not even in business yet. You have an idea, and the excitement is real — but every time you try to figure out where to start, you hit a wall of paperwork and questions you've never had to answer before.

Either way — that's exactly where I come in.

Running a small business is a lot.
How Rising Phoenix Started

Based in The Dalles, I work with small businesses and non-profits in Hood River, Wasco County, and across Oregon.
I started out doing bookkeeping. And then I kept getting asked to do more — payroll, business formation, tax prep, operations, compliance filings. Things business owners needed done and didn't know how to do themselves. So I figured them out, one by one. And I kept saying yes.
Along the way, I did the work to back it up — earning my bookkeeping certification through formal coursework and becoming a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor. I take what I do seriously, and I keep learning so my clients don't have to.
I named this business Solutions — not Bookkeeping — on purpose. Small business owners don't have one problem. They have many. And they need someone who can handle more than one thing.
And I called it Rising Phoenix on purpose, too. The phoenix is the bird that rises from the ashes — it takes what looks like an ending and turns it into a fresh start. That's exactly what I help people do. Whether your books are a mess, your business is just beginning, or you're rebuilding after a hard season, there's always a way forward. You're never as stuck as you feel.

What I love most is helping people understand things they didn't before — watching someone go from confused and stuck to confident and moving forward. I'm not a CPA or an attorney. What I am is someone who knows her work, and who will always find the answer when I don't have it yet. You bring me a problem. I'll find the path through it.
